Corsi di inglese livelli 4 e 5

Level Four

Preliminary English Test PET – Council of Europe Level B1

Level Four is an intermediate level course. At the end of the course, students can take the Cambridge PET exam.

Candidates who are successful in PET should be able to communicate in most everyday situations with both native and non-native speakers of English.

In addition to the course book, students are required to buy a practice test book. CLM BELL is an approved ESOL examination centre. It is the policy of the school to enter those students for the exam who have a realistic chance of passing. In January, before the final enrolment date, individual meetings between students and teachers are arranged to discuss progress.

Level Five

Level five is a post-intermediate level course. By the end of this course students should be able to use the language independently and effectively for all practical needs and in many more demanding situations such as expressing or understanding opinions or taking part in extended discussions.

At this level, it is often the case that different groups of students have differing linguistic needs, meaning that the linguistic syllabus below can be negotiated with the class teacher to respond more closely to particular learner requests and needs.

It is the policy of the school to set homework on a regular basis and to progress test students at regular intervals during the course.

In addition, the LCC offers students the opportunity to listen to a wide range of audio material which is aimed at improving both comprehension and production of the spoken word.
